Meherrin Indian is my heritage. Footprints describe how I make my way around our global community. Service and philanthropy mark my path.
These words are not just a tagline. They are the foundation of everything I do. The Meherrin name carries the weight of family history, and a people, whose presence on this land long predates the maps that were drawn afterwards. Carrying that name forward means carrying the responsibility to honor where I came from. So, I need to show up for others.
Every place I go, every project I start, and every person I have a chance to help. These are footprints. Footprints ripple outward further than I will ever fully see. That ripple, like a stone dropped in still water, reaching circle after circle outward, is the image at the heart of everything connected with this project. The red dots in the logo represent footprints and ripples that we ALL make in our lives.
Service and philanthropy is the path I travel on, whether supporting a local cause, mentoring someone starting out, or showing up consistently for the people and communities that matter. I do this in the open, so others can see it, join it, or be inspired to work towards their own dream.
Meherrin Footprints is where I will share the story behind the name, the causes, and projects I am putting energy into, and ways for you to get involved. You can follow along , contribute, or simply carry the same spirit of service into your own corner of our global community.
