Progress.

Progress is the third phase of the four phase plan to achieve success. You have to be able to make progress, if you expect to achieve your goal. You have to get off the couch, or ask a question, or DO something that will get you from one place to another. A dream is just a dream. It is in your mind. The dream will stay in your mind, until you make a move. What is Newton’s first law of inertia? an object at rest will stay at rest until a net force acts upon it. It is a law of nature that means whenever these conditions occur, the response WILL happen. Not only on rainy days. Not for just the wealthy people. There are no exceptions.

I do my best to make at least a little bit of progress every day. As I mentioned in my other post, I use 3 X 5 cards. I wrote about a couple of reasons the cards are an excellent tool to use in your quest. I will give you one more reason the cards work. I wrote down each step I have to complete in order to reach my goal. The items I wrote down are very specific. An example is what my username and password is for a particular social media account. At any given time, I can look at this card, and say that I either have an account or I don’t. There is no guessing. I don’t have to say,” I am so close.” No. I either signed up for an account, or I did not sign up for an account.

You have to be honest with yourself when you are going for something. Now is the time for the tough love. You will feel so much better down the road. If you are not honest with yourself, you will be making excuses later on. Excuses about why you did NOT achieve YOUR goal.

Remember, it is YOUR dream. It is YOUR project. Make progress. It is up to you. And ONLY YOU!

I wish you the best of luck!

Have a wonderful day!

Pick a dream…and GO FOR IT!

Plan.

“Plan” is the second of Four phases to Success that you have to go through to be successful. Be honest with yourself when you make your plan. Life is full of challenges and opportunities. And all plans have unforeseen obstacles. But remember, it is YOUR DREAM.

My suggestion to you is to break your plan down into segments. What I have seen happen is when the goal is not reached instantly, or when you WANT it to happen, frustration sets in. A lot of goals are not reached, and people give up on their dreams. This is not good.

I put my goal on 3 X 5 cards. My end goal is on one card. And then I had a paper clip with other cards behind the main card. I broke down my plan into little tasks that I can accomplish much easier. I  put all my social media addresses the same card. And I listed each media on a line on the card. When I signed up for Facebook, for example, I wrote down my username on the card with the password, and I knew I had accomplished that task. So now, I have one card, where I can see all my usernames in one place. I did not do this in one day. but over time, I could see how the card was filling up. I felt so much better accomplishing something. I did not reach my final goal. But I had something tangible that showed me, “You are further towards your goal then when you started.” Does that make sense to you?

Another benefit of using cards is that you can carry them with you during the day. And if you get a good idea in your travels, you an jot it down, and go over it in detail at your leisure.

A third benefit of using 3 X 5 cards, is that the cards are your plan, and they help to keep you on your course. When frustration or exhaustion sets in, you might tend to move on to something else. And start all over. You don’t want to keep starting over. When you are tired, just review your cards. Look at the progress you have made. Look at the plan. When you review your cards, you will see that, “Yes, it is MY DREAM.” Reviewing your cards, will bring you back on track.

Step by step, you will get closer to achieving your goal, whatever it is.

If you have a goal, or a dream, you should really stick with it. It is YOUR DREAM. GO FOR IT!

The four step process is necessary to succeed.

Today, I learned a major lesson about business in general, and my ecommerce website, Native Green Garden Supplies, specifically. My lesson is that you have to go through the process. There are no short cuts to success.

Previously, I thought I was close to starting the ecommerce site. I watched YouTube videos that stated an ecommerce site could be started from scratch in 60 minutes. I also read the emails, that said it was soooo easy to start my very own ecommerce site. But, slowly and surely, as each week passed by, I realized I still did not have the website ready to go. I still was not making any money from this project. I made the determination that this project is different. This project is one that I will continue on. I decided that I would not quit until I made it.

I kept reading and watching FREE information about the process. The four step process that will make anyone successful. The four step process of Decide, Plan, Progress, Achieve, is something EVERYONE HAS TO DO to achieve their goal. It is a fact. It is proven that everyone who follows this four step process will achieve their goal. Anyone CAN use this process for their particular project. But not everyone WILL use this process.

BUT, there is more. The little details and road blocks that are unique to each plan. The obstacles that stop so many people from achieving their stated goals.

The numbers do not lie. There is a specific amount of money I need to spend. Every penny can really be acounted for. In other words, I should have a good, accurate number of how much I have to spend and how much I expect to make for EVERY product I sell.

Today, I realized the saying is true. “Business is a numbers game.”

  • I can tell how much money I paid for a product.
  • I know how much  am selling the product for.
  • I also know how much I am going to make in profit for each product.
  • I know how many products I want to sell.

I learned my lesson when I was completing my advertising campaigns for Native Green Garden Supplies.

  • Decide
  • Plan
  • Achieve
  • Succeed

I will say one thing. The more tasks I achieve towards my goal, the more optimism I have that I will actually make this work. I am still in the achieve phase of my project. I made small tasks to complete that will get me towards my goal.

I saved some motivational videos on my YouTube channel, if you are interested.

I hope you have a wonderful day!
